Your Timber Age Home is designed with stewardship in mind. Each Home utilizes passive house principles to reduce operational costs:
- Thermal Control. Your home is wrapped with 12″ of continuous insulation. The insulation is Dense-pack Cellulose. The insulation is Class A fire-rated, pest and mold-resistant and made from recycled newspaper.
- Air Control. You decide when air moves in your home. No unwanted drafts or cold spots. Thoughtful sealing materials make the building very airtight and a special filtered ventilation system means you have plenty of clean, healthy air in every room.
- Radiation Control. You probably know what its like to jump into a car with all the windows up in the summer, miserable… but trapping this same heat in the middle of winter feels good. Your Timber Age Home is designed to take full advantage of the power of the sun.
- Moisture Control. From the outside to the inside, your Timber Age Home keeps liquid water out and healthy humidity in.
